  2. Food Relief Distribution • GoB -GR distribution 39 districts 47,365 MT to 4,736,500 families 63% affected -GR pre-positioned 12 districts 800 MT -VGF in 11 districts 9,593 MT to 959,300 families 13% affected (10 Kg per family per month)

Food Relief Distribution • National/ International NGOs 18738 MT No of families: 1,043,200 (14% affected) Rice 13,927 MT Ration Scale: 1kg per family per day Other commodities: Oil, Pulses, Salt, Fortified Biscuits • Total under systematic VGF & NGO distributions 2,002,500 families 27% affected

  4. Monitoring of Food Distribution • September – November 2004 850,000 affected families will be under VGF • Existing VGF Mechanism -Union VGF committees prepare lists of beneficiaries -GoB Upazila staff ensures appropriate distributions • Upazila committees to monitor and report on distributions

  5. Agriculture • FAO will brief the meeting on the situation of seeds and Aman harvest in the next Agenda for the meeting.
