Motivation • DasaSahithya has been key medium in Preserving and Propagating “Tatvavada” of Sri Madhvacharya thru the last several centuries • “DasaSahitya” has been well preserved by house-wives, grandmas, who would memorize and sing as part of daily chores • Advent of LPs in the ’70s, Cassettes in the ’80s and CDs & internet in the ‘90s created a strong medium for bringing “DasaSahitya” to the reach of mainstream public • However, arrival of rampant piracy and free distribution thru internet, over the last decade is crippling sustained production of CDs/Albums and in turn impacts Preservation and Propagation of “DasaSahitya”

  3. What can we do about Piracy? Use the internet to turn the problem upside down !

  4. How do we that? • Release Albums to only interested people who are willing to pay for the content • Use Internet for distribution – Eliminating Production, Marketing and Distribution Costs • Release Albums to general public once Recording Costs are recovered

  5. What is the Current Status? • Two Pilot Albums Released for Private Distribution as part of “Sri SripadarajaraAradhane” in June, 2010

  6. Pilot Album Details

  7. How can you support? • Become a sponsor for the Pilot Albums at $101 • Sponsor amount is used to recover Pilot Album costs and expand scope • Goal is to gather 200-400 trusted members – so that subsequent Albums can be released for $5-10 per Album

  8. Longer Term Scope • Bring out “Rare”, “Maadhva” specific content • Promote Albums by Sri VB, Sri P Nayak, Sri Seshagiri Das and others • Consolidate distribution of Maadhva related content (Books, Audio, Video …)
