  1. Exploring the Benefits of Employee Loyalty Programs

  2. Creating employee longevity today goes far beyond simply the amount an employee is paid. Employees are looking for tangible benefits such as unlimited PTO, extended maternity/paternity leave, stock options and more. Statistics are showing that when employees see greener pastures, they don’t hesitate to make a move. In fact, in a recent survey of a sample of people who were planning on looking for a new job this year, 54% had started their current job less than 1 year ago. So what can you do to increase employee retention? Check out these 5 ways to inspire employee loyalty. Get to know your team and peers Your employees are the heart of your company and heart health is vital to success. Making time to personally connect with the members of your team is a powerful way to help them engage and to feel valued. When people in leadership or managerial positions offer a listening ear while leaving judgment at the door, employees feel connected in a meaningful and authentic way.

  3. 2. Be a leader more than a manager There is a distinction between what a leader is and what a manger is. Leaders offer direction and vision while a manager is more focused on assigning tasks and planning. While both roles are needed to propel an organization forward, the leadership role, if handled properly will cultivate positive employee morale and overall productive and positive environment. Leaders have the unique opportunity to use their influence to encourage and motivate the members of a team. When you look behind the curtains of some of the most successful businesses in the world you will see groups of people who are overall happy with their workplace or team, and who feel comfortable to go to management or leaders when a change needs to be made. 3. Openly express appreciation Expressing appreciation to your employees is the best way to improve the output of work and to endear employees to your business. Whether the task is big or small, take a moment to let your team know that you see their great work.

  4. 4. Create a worthwhile sub-culture Creating a sub-culture will help keep your team focused and inspired to stay loyal to the group as a vital element of the whole. Sub-cultures can be created within the teams that keep your organization running. Each team should have a strong vision that employees can directly relate to with values that employees can strive to achieve. Inspiration and focus within smaller teams in your organization will create a sense of loyalty that is needed to maintain your employees long term. 5. Be proud of your company Employees work better and stay longer when they can take pride in what they do. Employers who are proud of their organization, the way they are impacting the industry, the teams they have in place and the customers they serve, create a workplace where each team takes pride in what they produce. Some ways to show pride are to host company-sponsored events, participate in celebrations for benchmarks and employee accomplishments and to share positive messages from customers or advisory boards.

  5. While there may not be any shortcuts to achieving long-term commitments and loyalty from every employee in your organization, there are changes you can make to your current procedures that can endear employees to the work they are doing for you. By making employees a priority, employers find that their staff becomes a major propeller to growth and overall success of the business. Making procedural changes requires a lot of focus and dedication and the burden of HR can make it hard to give these changes the time they deserve. By working with PEO Broker those burdens can be removed, allowing you the time to build process that retain your top talent
