  3. GOVERMENT • Palestine has a Parliamentary Democracy. • A parliamentary democracy means that the political power is held by an elected parliament representing the people. 

  4. WHO IS IN CHARGE? • The president of Palestine is Mahmoud Abbas. He is a great leader. He was born in 1935. Abbas earned a law degree from the University of Damascus. In 1990’s he negotiated with Israel and made an agreement that they would leave some land alone like West Bank and Gaza Strip.

  5. ECONOMY • Palestine has a blooming economy. They grow fruits , vegetables, and more but mostly olive. The people there are really smart. They are smart in medical and engineering education. They also get a lot of natural recourses. • Olive • Grape • Figs • Stones/Marbles

  6. RELIGION • In Palestine most of the religion practiced is Islam. They have a small population of Christianity and Jews.

  7. LANGUAGE • Almost all Palestine speaks Arabic. • A low population talks English.

  8. GEOGRAGHY & Location • Location • Mountains: Ebal Mountain, and Jarzeem Mountain. • Lake: Lake Tibreas • Rivers: Jordan River, and Ba Nias River. • Sea: Dead Sea

History & FACTS?! • Israel occupied Palestine in 1984. • Have the highest amount of educated people in the Middle East! • For thousands of years, the olive tree has been an integral part of the Palestinian landscape: a symbol of Palestinian identity, culture and tradition. • 45% of the agricultural land in the West Bank is dedicated to olive production.
