  2. Texas Pilots Described….. • Unique, Eclectic, Diverse, Passionate, Determined…Just a few Adjectives! • Individuals from Various Occupations, Geographic Locations, and Histories • We Come Together with a Common Goal – to Serve and Support our Community CL PILOTS WALK FOR ALZHEIMERS

Pilots Do What??? • Who Are We and What Do We Do? • We know the Answer, but Does Your Community? • Does Your Club Have a Publicity/Marketing Committee? • Does Your Club Actively Promote their Programs through all Available Media Channels? • Do Individual Pilots “Talk Pilot” and Promote Club Benefits of Membership? • Club Size Doesn’t Matter—Our Service Focus and Community Involvement Does!! • Social Media is your Club’s Best Friend!!! How Does Your Club Show Community Appreciation? • Thank Pilots, Co-Pilots, and Other Community Members Who Help Your Club • Sponsor an Appreciation Brunch/Luncheon Event to Recognize and Thank Everyone! • Feature Pilots and Helpers in Club Newsletters • Send Outstanding Pilot Accomplishments to Pilot Log CL PILOTS ANNUAL APPRECIATION BRUNCH

  5. How Does Your Club Stay Involved? • Distribute Advertising Material (We have Custom Bookmarks) • Volunteer to Bake Cookies for Events • Develop a Relationship with your Chamber of Commerce and Local Media • Build a Website and Facebook Page • Wear Your Pilot Shirts!!

  6. Does Your Club Work TOO Hard? • Canyon Lake Pilot Club is Known for Their Many Projects and Hard Work (Not a Secret!) • Don’t Let the Hard Work Scare Prospective Members (and they will be scared!) • Explain Member Involvement During Business Meetings—No One Pilot Can Do It All!! • New Members Tend to Find Their Niche and Comfort Zone

  7. Summary Formulas for Success Make Sure your Community Knows Who You Are Don’t Complain About Hard Work! Associate Your Club With Giving, Tolerance, Kindness, Friendliness, Service and Fun! Use Company Manners When Dealing with Public – But, Emphasize Friendliness and Caring
