  1. Group Work: Predict(and record) before you work! • What statements can you make to compare the two triangles? • Find the perimeter of each triangle. How do they compare? • Find the area of each triangle. How do they compare? • Can you make any general statements about the area or perimeter when triangles have the relationship given in step 1?

  3. If these two trapezoids are similar, what is the scale factor from the smaller shape to the larger? • How many times greater is the perimeter of the larger trapezoid? Or is there not enough information? • How many times greater is the area of the larger trapezoid? Or is there not enough information?

  5. If the area of the small pentagon is 28, what would the area of the large pentagon be?
