ICE Grant Program • DHS (FEMA) awarded $79.6 M in Sept 2003 • Coordinated with DOJ COPS Office • Purpose: Help communities develop I/O Comm • Cross jurisdictions: Fire, Law Enforcement, & EMS • Illustrate and encourage new technologies & operations • Governors nominated 1 lead site per State/Territory • Large, small, rural, urban, cross-border, infrastructure • 17 Demo Sites - competitive grant process • Cap: $6 M (5 sites) • 25% Local Matching Funds • Range: $846 k - $6 M • Less than $5 M at 6 sites
