Kobe's life history: • Born on August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. • Kobe was named after a Japanese steak house. • Kobe Bryant is the son of former NBA player Joe "Jellybean" Bryant. • After his father retired, he took the family to Italy where Kobe played on the Italian League. • His family returned to Philadelphia in 1991,when Bryant joined the Lower Merion high school basketball team, leading it to the state championships four years in a row. • This is when he started to get his eye on the NBA, and he started working with the76ers. • Bryant married 19-year-old Vanessa Laine in April 2001

  6. PERSONAL REFLECTION Kobe Bryant is one of or is the best NBA player in the league. He has the highest stats above just about the rest of the NBA, except for LeBron James, and maybe 1 or 2 other players. Having one of the highest 3 points stats except for Ray Allen, and he also has the highest points per game than anyone else in the NBA. Kobe Bryant has him self defiantly in the basketball hall of fame and he will most defiantly be taken care of the rest of his life. Although Kobe is an excellent basket ball player, I personally don’t like him. The way he plays is just not as a team player, and he really isn't that nice of a guy. So even though he is one of the best players in this country, I personally don’t like him.
