Inspired by the Foundation’s motto – “Together We Strive for the Global Common Good” – you have gathered to discern just ways of attaining a globalisation that is “cooperative”, and thus positive, as opposed to the globalisation of indifference. You seek to ensure that the global community, shaped by the institutions, agencies and representatives of civil society, can effectively achieve international goals and obligations that have been solemnly declared and assumed, such as those of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals.’ Pope Francis, The Vatican, Rome Roundtable 17 January 2017

Outcomes - Rome Roundtable 2018: ‘Co-operative Globalisation’ endorsed as a shared pathway to a cohesive world A ‘dialogue between civilisations’ was launched, for long-term global peace Examples of practical actions were presented: Faiths, business, governments tackling human trafficking Miners and faiths partnering with community for long-term viability Blended private and public finance for sustainable global infrastructure A new global vehicle to measure sustainable business performance

  7. London Roundtable outcomes: The London Roundtable re-inforced our ‘co-operative globalisation’ goal, however the focus of our ‘dialogue between civilisations’ needs clarity. Practical projects and programs of measurement of progress and partnerships between business and faith were showcased.
