Activities and Accomplishments of the SRHA • Acted on behalf of the SRHA • The Board functioned as it should have • Held quarterly board meetings and one Annual Meeting as per the Covenants • Kept residents apprised of finances • Discussed issues brought forth by homeowners SRHA Annual Mtg 1/21/2012

  6. Communications Committee • Newsletters published 3 times/year, distributed by email and USPS and available on our website • Website updated promptly • Directory distributed and updated at the 2011 Annual Meeting and via newsletter SRHA Annual Mtg 1/21/2012

  7. Social Committee • Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale • The Annual Block Party was held on June 18, 2011 SRHA Annual Mtg 1/21/2012

  8. Preferred Contractor • Arrow Septic Pump out 2011 results were outstanding. 14 SRHA members participated; it will be offered again in May and October 2012. • Negotiated expanded Monument Lawn care maintenance with new vendor without additional cost to SRHA. • Monitoring aggregation of Electric rates for McHenry County unincorporated residents.   9. Preferred Lawn Care Contractors • We are looking for company would be interested in offering SRHA members a discount on sprinkler maintenance, please contact Herb LeBlanc with their name and phone number. • The Board needs a minimum of 3 contractor quotes to determine fair pricing. • As a reminder MCD Environmental Services for the last three years has been the lowest cost provider for refuse pick up. About 80% of SRHA members use this vendor. Using one vendor eliminates multiple days of pickup and saves money for SRHA members. Their phone number is (815)-568-7274. SRHA Annual Mtg 1/21/2012

  10. Landscaping Committee • Secured new entrance Signs and Monuments Lawn care vendor . We have contracted with Gomboy Landscaping of Crystal Lake. As a result they have agreed to maintain and clean the sign and monument beds on a weekly basis. In the past we had to pay an additional monies for these services which they will be doing at no extra charge, saving money and time spent by SRHA volunteers to do this work. Elections • As defined by our Covenants • The SRHA Board of Directors shall consist of 5 – 9 members • Each member shall be elected at the Annual Meeting • The term for an elected member is 2 years • A member who wishes to remain on the Board must be re-elected at the end of their 2 year term • Specific positions on the Board (e.g., President) are voted by the Board at their first Board meeting. • They are not specified at the Annual Meeting SRHA Annual Mtg 1/21/2012

New Business - ENERGY POLICY STATEMENT One of the many new laws affects our SRHA states: “ Homeowners' associations, common interest community associations, and condominium owners' associations’ energy policy statements are required to include whether or not wind energy collection, rain water collection, or composting systems are allowed as well as information regarding their location, design, and architectural requirements.” SRHA Annual Mtg 1/21/2012
