Activities and Accomplishments of the SRHA • Acted on behalf of the SRHA • The Board functioned as it should have • Held quarterly board meetings and one Annual Meeting as per the Covenants • Kept residents appraised of finances • Discussed issues brought forth by homeowners SRHA Annual Mtg 1/16/2010

  6. Communications Committee • Quarterly newsletters published and distributed by email and USPS and available on our website • Website updated promptly • Directory updated and distributed in 2009 SRHA Annual Mtg 1/16/10

  7. Social Committee • Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale • Annual Ornament Exchange • Poker-One Monthly Men’s Group • The Annual Block Party was cancelled due to the low number of responses • “A Girls Night Out/Wine Tasting” was attempted, but failed due to the busy Holiday Season • Mark Your Calendars for the 2010 Block Party • June 19th, Rain Date June 26th SRHA Annual Mtg 1/16/2010

  8. Preferred Contractor • Arrow Septic - Pump out May 16th. • Special Pricing for Lawn Fertilization from Scotts, Lawn Doctor for SRHA Members. • Reviewed Mosquito Abatement bids from 3 vendors and selected Clarke as the Preferred Contractor for Steeple Run. • Automotive Paradise offered $15.00 oil changes to SRHA in the Month of August. • Arrow Septic - Pump out September 12th & 19th. SRHA Annual Mtg 1/16/2010

Landscaping Committee • Sands and Smith Rd Signs and Monuments were weeded and the bushes and trees were trimmed by Linda and Herb & LeBlanc saving SRHA $500. • Sands and Smith Road Signs and Monuments were repaired and painted by SRHA members Ron Rodewald, Joe O'Malley and Herb LeBlanc. Total savings to the SRHA estimate @ $2000. • Joe O’Malley, Jim Schlough and Herb LeBlanc teamed up to maintain the lawn at 3713 Church Hill on two separate occasions. The new owners will be billed by SRHA for this service. SRHA Annual Mtg 1/16/2010

  16. Elections • As defined by our Covenants • The SRHA Board of Directors shall consist of 5 – 9 members • Each member shall be elected at the Annual Meeting • The term for an elected member is 2 years • A member who wishes to remain on the board must be re-elected at the end of their 2 year term • Specific positions on the board (i.e., President) are voted by the board at their first board meeting. • They are not specified at the Annual Meeting SRHA Annual Mtg 1/16/10

  17. Elections (cont.) • 2 board members have reached the end of their 2 year terms and 2 board members have resigned leaving 5 open positions and 4 filled positions. Mosquito Abatement • Per resident request, the board has evaluated 2 different companies for mosquito abatement services. • Presentations at board meetings in April and June 2009 plus an open meeting Nov 2009. • Cost would be $35.50/household to cover 15 weeks, approximately Memorial Day – Labor Day. • One time trial and is not included in the annual dues. • Assessment would be due by April 1, 2010.
