  2. ADAPTATION AND CAMOFLAGE • Adaptation-when an organism gets use to its environment. • A zebra getting use to its environment. • Camouflage-is when an organism hides from its predator or to get its prey. • A leaf insect hiding from its predator.

  3. HIBERNATION AND DORMANCY • Hibernation-is when an animal sleeps for long periods of time. • A chipmunk getting ready to hibernate. • Dormancy-is the same thing but for plants. • A tree losing its leaves.

  4. COURTSHIP AND MIGRATION • Courtship-two animals getting together to mate and reproduce. • Ex-two giraffes are about to mate. • Migration-the traveling of organisms from one place to another for warmer temperatures. • Ex-a flock of birds going south for warmer weather.

  5. REGENERATION AND LEARNED BEHAVIORS • Regeneration-the ability to grow back a body part. • Ex-a lizard growing its tail back. • Learned behavior-is what you learned from someone else. • Ex-a beaver building a dam because it saw something else building something.

  6. INNATE BEHAVIOR AND TERRITORIALITY • Innate behavior-is something you learned yourself. • Ex-a bird flying over the ocean. • Territoriality-is when an organism marks a place as its own. • Ex- a wolf urinating on a bush.
