  1. Blog: Pasautoschool.com HOW TO BUILD A COUNTRY OF SAFE DRIVERS Road safety continues to be the top most concern in USA. The country has the highest number of deaths due to car crashes among all the high-income countries. The per capita death rate of USA is also the highest when compared to the other prosperous countries. The main reasons for car crash deaths have been attributed to drunken driving, driving without seat belts and driving at high speeds as well as ignoring safe distance between cars. Reckless and inexperienced driving by teenage drivers has cost many valuable lives. Educating the drivers Looking at these high rates of road accidents, special emphasis needs to be laid on the driver’s education. The learners, specially the teenage learners must be given theoretical inputs along with their practical lessons of safe driving. Counseling sessions should be included in the training schedule in order to make them mature in matter of road safety. In the driving lessons the severeness of drunken driving, speeding and breaking road safety rules are to be impressed upon. The existing rules and the punitive provisions of the law are to be taught in detail. In order to restrain teenage drivers, the authorities have enacted stringent laws. Graduated License Law This lawimposes restriction on drivers below the age of eighteen years of age. They must have either junior learner permit or junior driving license. With junior learner permit the young drivers can drive only under supervision. Junior driving license holders can drive without supervision but with restrictions imposed depending upon the area of driving. The young learners are to be educated about the details of such laws in Driving Schools.
