  • Development of the Orange County Regional Water and Wastewater Hazard Mitigation Plan

  • Now eligible for Pre-Disaster Mitigation Project Grants up to $3 million per project per year

  • A better understanding of our infrastructure and the impact of natural disasters on the Orange County water/wastewater systems

  • Assistance for pre-disaster grant applications and project development

  • Improved working relationship with local government agencies and the County

  • Coordination with the State Office of Emergency Services and the Department of Health Services on grants, special projects and trainings

  • Initiated discussions on a national level with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security
