  6. Technology – Event Recorder • Records only those events in which pre-set g-force limits are exceeded. • Records 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after this g-force limit is exceeded. • Steady red light indicates an event has been recorded.

  7. Recordable Events • Exceeding pre-set g-force limits triggers an event. • Forward and lateral g-forces are monitored. • Examples of driving behaviors that may result in recorded events include: • Hard braking • Hard cornering • Excessive acceleration

  8. Review With Operator • If necessary, the recorded event is reviewed with the appropriate operator. • This could be those in which the operator displayed effective defensive driving as well as those in which a driving action or habit may need improvement.

  9. Benefits to Driver • Provides instant feedback to the driver. • Presents an opportunity to analyze driving actions or habits. • Captures erratic moves by other drivers • Protects against false statements by others.
