This paper discusses the transformative impact of creating an e-portfolio to reflect on language learning processes, enabling structured planning and future learning strategies. The study proposes a new model emphasizing observation, experimentation, and hypothesis testing, challenging negative language models. The journey unfolds as the author discovers the value of self-reflection and analysis through the e-portfolio, emphasizing a room for thought and community of learners. The text highlights the need to break out of the walled garden of online environments to foster genuine connections and serendipitous learning experiences with the outside world.

Lewis (1997) proposes a new model: • Observe • Experiment • Hypothesise • Macaro (2003) negative language models not supported by research.
When I first heard that it was necessary to make an e-portfolio of my francophone journey, I thought it would not be a very useful exercise. However, I am pleasantly surprised as to how it has given me the chance to reflect and analyse my language learning process overall. It has enabled me to structure and plan the way that I learn which is something of a first for me, and I want to try and incorporate the methods that I used here in future learning. • Room to think
