A. 2008) • Community College of the Air Force (2009) • Master Sergeant (E-7), Illinois Air National Guard, 182nd AW, Peoria, IL

  3. Band Program • Beginning Band • 6th Grade Band • 7th Grade Band • 8th Grade Band • 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Jazz Band • Marching Band • Other Performing Groups

  4. Band Program Success • Successful Students • have a quality instrument • attend summer band • practice • self motivated • parent encouragement! • remember to stay after school for large group • keep learning on the same instrument

  5. Renting an Instrument • Quinlan & Fabish Music Co. • are here for Q&A and for placing orders • Treble Clef Music (Palos) • Buyer Be Ware • you'll get what you pay for… • Ebay • "Big Box" Stores

Summer Band • is when the student receives the instrument and materials from Quinlan & Fabish • learns how to assemble/disassemble • DAILY music reading and sound making • by the end of week two, plays songs • plays along with CD • uses SmartMusic to record • Mondays through Thursdays; 7/16 – 8/2

School Year Schedule • Large Group • Tuesdays: Everyone after school at JJH Bandroom! • Thursdays: Everyone after school at JJH Bandroom! • Small Group • during the day when the homeroom is at music • OR after school on: • Mondays for Baritones & Tubas • Wednesdays for students with out A.M. music • Fridays for Percussion

  8. School Year Schedule AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL DISMISSAL 3:15 • 2nd Run of Buses • Parent Pick Up • Walkers • Various other program vans

  9. Concerts & Extra Commitments • Pancake Breakfast Debut Concert (Saturday) • Winter Concert for Liberty • Spring Concert for Liberty • Spring Concert for Parents @ JJH
