Community Service Projects • 2018-2018 BSR Club Supported Projects - Webber Foundation Winter Clothes Distribution - BACN’s Annual Food Drive - Goodwill Industries Food Rescue - Special Olympics and other programs for those with challenged abilities - Interact Club at Benzie Central, including help with operating school store - Benzie Bus Passes for After-School Activities - Monthly “Service Above Self” Recognition - Tim Krause and CHOICES Scholarships - STRIVE Participant Scholarships

Programs at Benzie Central Schools • Birth - Age 5 Dolly Parton's Imagination Library • 1st Grade Reading is Fundamental • 3rd Grade Dictionary Give-away • 6th Grade Crystal Lake Walkabout • 7th Grade Service Above Self Day • 8th Grade CHOICES • 9th Grade College Trip (MSU & GVSU) • 10th Grade NMC tour & lunch • 11th & 12th STRIVE • 11th & 12th Career Day • 12th Top 10 Students Dinner

  5. Fellowship/Social Events • Target 1 event per month • 2017-2018 events include: • President’s Dinner • Club Christmas Party • Bike Benzie Up North • Occasional Gathering at Local Pub • Occasional Gathering at a Member’s Home

  6. Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation • Our club has its own foundation which is qualified charitable 501(c)(3) • The Foundation board of trustees meets monthly • Review grant applications • Club members are encouraged to contribute to the Foundation

Community Service Projects • 2017/2018 BSR Foundation Projects have included: • Child and Family Service- Safe Haven Program • Benzie County Veterans’ Memorial • Benzie County Central Schools- Back the Track • COGnition Discovery Center • Benzie County Drop-In Center- Van • MI Legacy Art Park- Summer Sounds • Benzie Central Schools- Trip to Chicago • Special Olympics- Summer Games • BACN- GED Program • Benzie Conservation District • Crystal Lake & Watershed- Walkabout • CHOICES Education Group • Benzie Central Schools- Blenders • Advocates for Benzie County- START Program • Joy-To-Ride Bike Program
