  9. Variance of Sea Cigars Variance- is calculated as ∑ (X – X)2 n – 1 Variance is how much variation is around the mean.

  10. Standard Deviation • Standard deviation- describes how spread out the data are.

  11. Actual distribution of sea cigars

  12. T-Test • T= x-x/sp2\1+1 • n n • T-test- to test whether there is a significant difference between the means of two independent samples. P value must less then o.05 in order to reject the null hypothesis.
