In Spring 2013, updates from the Vice President for Research Division highlighted significant improvements in the Office of Sponsored Project Administration. Six Research Service Centers (RSCs) now offer comprehensive support for all phases of sponsored projects, covering both pre-award and post-award activities. Contract negotiators are dedicated to drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all research contracts, excluding licenses and IP agreements. Additionally, the central office staff serves as liaisons for post-award issues, audits, and financial matters, while notable staff hiring efforts are underway to solidify the office's organizational structure.
