A Heathy Church • Glorifies God • “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” – 1Corinthians 10:31 (NLT) • Worships God with genuine devotion • “A deep sense of awe came over them all” – Acts 2:43 (NLT) • Balances Biblical teaching with personal application • “Faith without works is dead” – James 2:20 (NIVUK) • “And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God” – Hebrews 13:16 (NLT)

  4. Healthy Churches

  5. I see a church where • Everyone is welcomed and valued, made to feel special and loved whatever their background, history, age, gender, marital status, race or ethnicity • Our lifestyles are based on Christian values and principles where our reputation goes before us and is positively welcomed in the community even by those who do not agree with us • We speak and act prophetically to see spiritual transformation in our local community and region as well as throughout our nation and internationally • Growth - spiritual and numerical - is not just expected but is actively pursued

  6. I see a church where • Those who have a passion to serve God in other places are graciously and enthusiastically released and supported by those who remain • “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” – 2Corinthians 9:7 (NIVUK) • “Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else”– 2Corinthians 9:13 (NIVUK)

  7. Generosity • Be strategic • Be intentional • Be an investor in the Kingdom
