Residents and Ward Councillors have been invited to involve themselves in these meetings. 4. My neighbours door is used as a lavatory for prostitutes and drug dealers, it stinks of urine and faeces. Can you just imagine cleaning that up every morning? This behaviour is having a detrimental effect on our lives.

9. Reporting and Evidence Gathering Prostitution and related asb is not often reported. Promotion of the reporting hierarchy: 999, Police Control Room, Single asb 3000 number. Kerb crawlers Enforcement – mount an enforcement operation with CO14. Deterrent –leaflet to public who may be perceived to be kerb crawling explaining the penalties. Street Signage – consider street signage to deter kerb crawlers. Prostitutes Enforcement – Joint evidence gathering to identify suitable ASBO cases and post conviction asbos. Information sharing to assess if there are drugs issues with specific individuals. Mount co-ordinated operation with CO14. Diversion – ensure drug treatment arrest referral workers available for operation. Deterrent – publicise operation results and asbos. Reassurance High visibility presence: programmed Safer Neighbourhoods night-time patrols and City Guardians. Use of CCTV Van. Regular feedback to residents on successes, need for reporting etc via CivicWatch consultation standard. CO14 train local police to deal with prostitutes to maintain regular enforcement based on local intelligence through CivicWatch. Consider use of dispersal zone. ASB Act required ALL RSLs to have in place procedures to record and deal with anti-social behaviour – need to make sure that we can help where we can with these procedures. Share our experiences and share their data. Set up ABC schemes with RSLs – the success is evident and could impact on a far greater number of Westminster residents. ASBOs – ASB Unit does not take out all ASBOs – its purpose is to give people the help advice and support to collate their own evidence and understand what an ASBO can be effective against.
