  3. Probabilities in the Next 50 Years • Repeat of 1811-1812 (magnitude 7.5-8.0) • Approximately 10% • Magnitude of 6.0 or greater - Approximately 25%

  4. What We Know Districts and schools should create an all-hazards plan that: • Is customized to each unique district, school, and campus. • Is an ongoing, living and breathing document. • Involves the collaboration of community partners and agencies.

  5. Day of Information Sharing • Coordinated by Emily Harris of ADH and April Lane from the Greenbrier Concerned Citizens Advisory Group. • Supported by Greenbrier School District. • Goal was to bring agencies together that would interact with Greenbrier Public Schools in the event of an emergency.

  6. Participants • Arkansas Geological Society • Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department • Department of Emergency Management • Director of Emergency Operations for the Department of Human Services • Faulkner County Health Unit

  7. Participants • Trauma Coordinator from Conway Regional Health System • Arkansas State Police • Faulkner County Sheriff Department • Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services(MEMS) • Entergy • Community Red Cross Volunteers

  8. Outcomes • Better understanding of each agencies role and responsibility. • Provided valuable networking opportunities between agencies and school personnel. • Provided a level of comfort and confidence for school personnel. • The district came away with valuable resources that could be used in the classroom.

  9. Outcomes • A more comprehensive response plan to an earthquake event. • Wooster Elementary agreed to become a Shelter for the Red Cross in the event of an emergency.
