  2. Taxonomy res 10.13 • Workshop yesterday moved debate forward • Importance of IUCN Red List for CMS instruments stressed • CITES and CMS/AEWA/Raptor MoU Sects to undertake analysis of changes implied by provisional new BirdLife list for non-passerines

  3. Poisoning res 10.26 • Funding from UK DEFRA and Raptor MoU for co-ordinator • SymoneKrimowaappointed April 2012 based at RSPB • Richard Shore (CEH, UK) appointed Working Group Chair • Reviews produced of rodenticides, agrochemicals, veterinary pharmaceuticals, lead, poison baits • Workshop May 2013 in Tunisia May– agreed priority issues and actions • Guidance on priority issues in preparation • Pilot project on agrochemicals with Migratory Soaring Birds project (Red Sea/Rift Valley)

  4. Landbirds res 10.27 • Coordinator Temidayo Osinubi appointed early 2012 - funded by Swiss and Swedish BirdLife Partners • Landbirds Working Group funded by Switzerland • Chaired by Olivier Biber • Met Accra August 2012 to develop draft Action Plan • Comments received from Scientific Council • New draft in progress and soon to be circulated • Options for implementation mechanism need exploration

Saker Falcon res 10.28 • Saker Task Force met March 2012 • Funds for STF raised from Saudi Wildlife Authority, European Union and CITES Secretariat • Four working groups active Feb-Jul 2013 – valuable outputs including new population modelling • Stakeholder workshop and second STF meeting held Sep 2013, Abu Dhabi – identified key issues and actions • Second draft Action Plan in preparation

Concerted Action res 10.23 • Bristle-thighedCurlew –Numeniini Workshop, Wilhelmshaven Sep 2013 • 38 Numeniini populations discussed • Report in preparation – overview of trends and threats, mini action-plans for each population • HoubaraBustard – review of Asia Houbara (status, threats, ways forward) in discussion • Red Knot – working with Western Hemisphere experts to develop plan and funding proposal for rufaRed Knot
