  14. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE & COOPERATION • Environmental Program (esp. ecoBudget) not as a separate program, but as an integral part of all programs • Always looking ahead to the next level • Linking environmental targets (i.e., the Master ecoBudget) with financial budgeting

  15. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE & COOPERATION • Enhancement of Statistical systems to measure ecoBudget indicators (maybe at a less sophisticated level) • Monitoring/measuring water quality • Establishing water impounding policies • Monitoring CO2 emissions?

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE & COOPERATION • Exploration of Replicating Vaxjo’s Green Initiatives via smaller-scale projects • Tuning into the reality of Philippine Local Government budgets • Small-scale biomass & wastewater treatment initiatives • Technical assistance for facilities and utilities improvement

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH & ACADEMIC EXCHANGE • Scientific/Academic Exchange between City of Vaxjo and Bohol Biodiversity Center (Regional Center for Climate Change) • Even though our vulnerabilities might be different (snow vs. rainfall, etc.) • Exploring renewable energy options • Other Initiatives in Climate Change Adaptation (including “Climate-Proofing”)

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH & ACADEMIC EXCHANGE • Scientific Exchange regarding policies for ensuring a lighter Carbon Footprint for Bohol LGUs • Use of wood for buildings, etc. • Connection/ “Hook-up” with the International Scientific Community • Akin to the Central Visayas Institute experience (Bernido couple)
