Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. Lessons Learned (common MP Issues, questions, etc) • Will Ending Time Remain in the #:59:59 Format? • Ending time will be corrected in an upcoming build to be consistent with the Machine to Machine Interface Specification and ISO standards. • The corrected format will be as follows, using the first hour of the day as an example: • <startTime>2007-09-07T00:00:00-05:00</startTime><endTime>2007-09-07T01:00:00-05:00</endTime> • If an MP is Generating their own mrID, are those Tests Required? • MP’s whose applications are generating an mrID, based on the published mask, are not required to complete those tests during the 2 hour testing window. • Applicable tests are as follows: • Test Package Updates (to be posted 9/07) • Updated Three Part Offer optional elements <curveStyle>, <incExcFlag>, and <reason> • Updated INC/DEC optional elements <curveStyle>, <incExcFlag>, and <reason> • Corrected typo in get mRID for COP, TPO, and OS <starTime> to <startTime> • Corrected the namespace reference in TPO to be consistent with other offer namespace reference • Reminder Webx on 9/12/07 to Discuss LFC http://nodal.ercot.com 6

Lessons Learned (common MP Issues, questions, etc) (continued) • What will be the Required Activities be for Phase 2? • End of September MP’s will receive a data extract with data from their full portfolio • MP’s will ensure this data is loaded into their nodal systems prior to 10/15/07 • Extract will contain updated data • Data provided to ERCOT via the MP Resource Asset Registration Form(RARF) • Production QSE-ID (note this will replace the value currently used in the <source/> tag of the header • More to be communicated… • October 5th the EDS environment will be shut down for the following updates: • Data synchronization of resource data • Any available defect fixes • Hardware / environment transition (moving to permanent EDS environment) • October 15th MP’s will submit COP, TPO, OS and INC/DEC’s (DSR’s only) • NOTE – this date could change slightly based on the progress of the preceding week • Submissions will be daily for the day ahead (first trade date submitted will be for October 16th, submitted on 10/15th). • Monday / Friday calls will review MP submissions. Additionally, submissions will be reviewed on a daily basis by the EDS team. • Submissions will be for MP’s entire portfolio (note entire portfolio includes Sub-QSE’s) • Submissions continue into November • ERCOT will be performing initial testing of SCED during this time period http://nodal.ercot.com 7

Issues Management (Know Issues Log) • New Build has been Delayed Due to Environment Issues in Test • New Build includes the following defect fixes: • <externalID> tag is giving an error when populating in an offer • Query OS Not Functioning • Output Schedule is inconsistent with other offers, and element fields • mRID response is inconsistent with the External Interface document • New ETA mid / late next week • This has also delayed the newest build to the Sandbox environment which synchronizes Sandbox with EDS version (e.g. namespace consistency). • Reminder to use the Issue Reporting Spreadsheet for Problems Encountered After Support Call has Completed • This will assist us in getting full details on issues encountered and speed resolution • Link for issue reporting spreadsheet is http://nodal.ercot.com/readiness/eds3/documents/genkd/ERCOT%20EDS%20Issue%20Submission%20Form.xls • Send completed spreadsheets to eds3@ercot.com http://nodal.ercot.com 8
