Enhancing Cybersecurity in the Arab Region: Insights from the Regional Forum

  3. WHY the Forum? • Understand the Landscape of Cybersecurity • Understand the Situation in the Arab Region • Recommend what needs to be done in the region under Hyderabad Action Plan(HAP) & Connect Arab Summit (CAS).

  4. Cybersecurity (Regional Initiative #5) Objective: To enhance coordinationin building confidence in the use of ICTs within the Arab region. Expected results: • Coordination for the formulation of national and regional regulatory policies and frameworks to combat cybercrime in the Arab region • Encouragement for the establishment of national CIRTs in the Arab region, and optimal coordination between them • Support to CIRTs in the Arab region through the provision of expertise and studies in this field • Ensuring the protection of Arab children and youth from harmful and abusive content on the Internet.

  5. Forum Agenda • Forum on 3 days: • 1st Day: Workshop on Federated Identity Management (FIM) • 2nd & 3rd Days Symposium on topics of : • Cybercrime, • CIRTs, • COP, • Regional status, • Emerging topics, • Discussions 14 Speakers (International & Regional)
