  1. Important Characteristics of Materials Used For Making Outdoor Lounge Furniture Comfortable and good-looking outdoor lounge furniture would help in enhancing the beauty of the place. Homeowners conduct thorough research in this regard on how to compare the price, look and durability. Various materials are used for making the furniture used in the outdoor area, which differs from the indoor models in quite a few ways. The most common material used for outdoor corner lounge, sofa or dining table should have few features, to be suitable for use in that area. Few such characteristics of the furniture include:  Resistant to fading: The furniture in the garden or patio is generally exposed to extreme climates. The material should be such that it should not lose the shade of its original look. It is not possible to maintain the same look for long, but slight fading is manageable, but too much of change could be a little off for anyone.  Durable: A table or chair placed in the balcony could be exposed to severe heat and heavy rain as well. Few materials lose their strength and become brittle when exposed to the sun for long time. Such materials should be avoided as they would not last for long.  Corrosion and mould resistant: Metal like iron would start to corrode if they are not properly treated before the manufacturing process. Wood is not moisture resistant, as moisture gets accumulated, the structural integrity of the material would be compromised. Furniture made from these materials needs to be put in areas where they do not get exposed to rain.  Functionality: The weight of chars should be lightweight, so that they can carry easily, from one place to another. They need to be comfortable enough for the user to enjoy a comfortable evening on them. Care should be taken that they are not too light that they would be blown with heavy wind.  Aesthetically pleasing: The chairs and tables put in the garden need to be simple but elegant as they would be the only piece of furniture in the garden and everyone would love to sit on it and enjoy the comfort. The most common material that satisfies all the characteristics is wicker. The modern lightweight material is easy to maintain. The metal can be aluminium or wooden, the choice is dependent on the owner. People interested in such outdoor furniture can search online for various websites that deal with such designs. Most of have a huge collection of latest design, available at highly competitive price.
