What is System Management? • Anticipate resource problems in advance • Historical information about the performance and availability of key resources. • Drill-down from high level to detailed reports to analyze the root cause of problems in the long-term. present and forecasted capacity and usage data grade of service and exceptions in your IT environment

SM Top and Bottom 5 Systems • An Infrastructure administrator would like to identify and analyze the best and worst performing systems over a time period. • Also, he would like to • drill down and analyze the worst performing nodes by location/group amongst those supporting a specific business service/application.

SM Heat Chart • As an IT administrator I would like to view the systems or group of systems' performance over a period of time highlighting the breaches against a predefined set of thresholds so that I can analyze the cause of breaches along with the result of corrective action that was taken. • I should be able to apply the threshold on different types of aggregation like average, percentile etc.
