CBH Website • Staff Provider Trainings • http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/ocfs/cbhs/provider/training.html • Open link to the CANS Training Registration Form • Submit the registration form • This registration form purpose is to: • Grant rater id to staff • Start the process of tracking the certifications for CANS trainings • 30/60 day notifications when your certification needs to be renewed via EIS tickler system • Notifies EIS Security that EIS access needs to be granted • DHHS, Continuous Quality Improvement Office (Veronica Dumont) will email you the information to access the on line CANS training upon submission of the registration form. • EIS access will be granted via notification from the Continuous Quality Improvement Office that the certificate has been issued • Email notification of your Username and Password • Instructions on access to the CANS Electronic Data Entry Manual

The EIS is an Enterprise Information System that is used to track data for all people and organizations related to or served by the Department of Health and Human Services. • The EIS allows for the integration of data across all service populations and providers. • http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/ocfs/cbhs/provider/index.shtml

  4. CANS - Comprehensive Multisystem Assessment • CANS PC - Preschool 0-5 Assessment • CANS ASP – Intellectual Disability /Autism Assessment

  5. Each of the CANS assessments have what is called Dimensions (or pages) • The first two dimensions are Introduction and Assessment. They need to be completed on each individual child. The other dimensions will be completed according to the instructions within the assessment itself. • Example: if a score of 1,2 or 3 on the Developmental questions within the Life Functioning Domain then you would proceed to complete the Developmental Needs Module Dimension.
