Educational Competition on Private Property and Privatization Involving Stock Market Strategies

The .AD REM Competition, organized under the auspices of Minister of Treasury Aleksander Grad, focuses on private property and privatization education, including stock market strategies. Our school participated for the second time, with a structured competition across four stages. Stage I involved a knowledge test, with around 300 students participating. Stage II required teams to solve a problem online, with 14 teams qualifying this year. Stage III featured regional debates with two teams from our school entering the tournament. The final Stage IV showcased the top six teams in Warsaw.

  1. AD REM Competition Educational programme on private property and privatisation,including stock-marketprivatisation, under the auspices of the Minister ofTreasury AleksanderGrad. Our school participated in the project for the first time last year.

Competiton was organized in 4 stages: • Stage I – knowledge test for students in schools;in our school about 300 students wrote the test last and this year. • Stage II – problem to solve for teams of three; They solved a given problem by the Internet. Last year in our school 5 triple teams were qualified. This year 14 triple teams have been qualified . • Stage III – regional debates; 24 best teams competed in 6 towns during debate tournament. 1 team from II d and II e from our school were qualified. They took part in the debate in Rzeszów entitled „Sale of shares on the stock exchange is the best method of privatization of state-owned companies in crisis”. Unfortunately we weren’t qualified to the next stage. • Stage IV – central debate; 6 best teams competed in a three days’ finals in Warsaw.
