Issue • Inconsistent communication across Payroll Services as a whole and within individual business units. • There is no standard practices, or correspondence across Business Units for meetings and the dissemination of information.
Background • Payroll Services performs functions for all government agencies from 3 locations. • There are no formal lines of communication currently established within the teams, across levels and regions. • Despite internal procedures and processes, interpretation and knowledge sharing is lacking in all facets.
Options • Monthly meetings for management groups – Payroll Mangers / Assistant Payroll Managers • Informal newsletter detailing achievements and up and coming events. • APM rotations-short term within the work unit and long term between regions. • APM’s to attend other team meetings
Recommendation • Management support on the implementation of monthly meetings between APM’s. • Rotate between regions commencing 26 August 2008. • Action items requiring approval are tabled at the Payroll Managers meetings for discussion and decision. • Items requiring action and progress to be posted on Website.
