  2. How to Love Others to Action • Be a spiritual leader. • Be a loveable leader. • Be a constructive leader.

  3. Spiritual Leadership is Loving • Fair • Loving • Humble • He has shown all you people what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. • Micah 6:8

  4. Fair leadership • But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.   8. Communicating that people matter! Turn around moments in your life – who was involved? What you say and do matters. Constructive Leadership

  9. Constructive Feedback • When you see good work. • When you see poor work. • When you see a dead end.

  10. Never let Good work go unnoticed • Encourage one another daily and build each other up, just as you are doing. 1Thes.5:11 • Be immediate. • Be specific.

  11. Never let Poor work go Unnoticed • “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2Tim.3.16 • Keep it private. • Keep it positive. • Proceed with caring. Attitude checks needed.

Never let Bad Habits Go Unnoticed • “Slack habits and sloppy work are as bad as vandalism.” Pr.18:9 (Message) • Keep it private. • Keep it positive. • Set the tone for a difficult personal conversation. • Be direct but gentle. • “Be completely humble and gentle. Be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Eph.4.2

  16. Personal Feedback. I feel awkward about this… Sometimes your body odor is too noticeable. Never let bad habits go unnoticed

  17. Avoid Sidetracks! I don’t mean to offend, but we need to go forward. I need you to show up without noticible body odor. I brought it up because it’s my job, and I want you to succeed. Never let bad habits go unnoticed

  18. Never let Bad Habit Go Unnoticed • “Better is an open rebuke than hidden love.” Pr.27:5 • Constructive leadership means you CARE! Caring means you NOTICE! What people do really matters.

  20. Turn from a Dead End Road • “Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.” Rev.3:19 • THE TWO MINUTE CHALLENGE • State what you observe. • Wait for a response. • Remind them of the goal. • Ask for simple solution. • Agree together.

  21. State. “You have missed three meetings in a row.” No editorial Just behavior. Turn from a Dead End Road

  22. Wait. Do not be sidetracked. Your relationship is not the issue, it’s the behavior. Do not fill in a silent gap with your own material. Turn from a Dead End Road

  23. Remind. “We work together as a team, you need to be at the meetings.” Opportunity for more sidetracks. Turn from a Dead End Road

  24. Ask. “So how will you make it to the next meeting?” Everyone has a complex life. Stay true to goal. Sorry to hear that but we depend on you too. Turn from a Dead End Road

  25. Agree. Mutual clear statement. “So, next Friday, you will be at the meeting.” “I’ll be at the meeting on Friday.” “I hope things work out at …” Turn from a Dead End Road
