  2. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Matt. 22:36 "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.“ Matt. 22:40 “Jesus said to him," 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.‘” Matt. 22:37 "And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matt. 22:39

  4. Made for Love “In His own image” Gen. 1:27 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3 "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5

  5. Love is a Choice God made man with the Ability to choose to love or not to love ! Man’s love for God is not simply a feeling. Love is a command Obey - Disobey

  6. Showing Love for God “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3 Love = total surrender to Him Does not sin habitually – 1 John 3:9

Showing Love for One Another Love for God = obeying commands Command = love one another “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12 “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Gal. 5:14
