Study Tour to Denmark

In April 2007, experts from 26 municipalities and representatives from the Ministry of Environment in Bulgaria participated in a study tour in Denmark to enhance their understanding of environmental legislation. The program included visits to key sites like Odense Landfill, AQUA Fresh Water Centre, and the Vestforbranding Copenhagen West Incineration Plant. The focus was on waste management, recycling, waste-to-energy systems, and municipal administration practices. This collaborative experience aimed to improve capacity building and foster sustainable practices within Bulgarian municipalities.
