  2. WHEN DID IT ALL HAPPEN? • On February 6 1945, the Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician, Nesta Robert Marley also known as the Famous Bob Marley was born.

  3. The Beginning • He was the rhythm guitarist and lead singer for the ska, rocksteady and reggae bands, The Wailers (1963-1974) .

  5. His Famous Hits • His best-known hits were: "I Shot the Sheriff", "No Woman, No Cry", "Could You Be Loved", "Stir It Up", "Get Up Stand Up", "Jamming", "Redemption Song", "One Love" and, "Three Little Birds", as well as the posthumous releases "Buffalo Soldier" and "Iron Lion Zion”.

The Religious Movement • During the 1930’s, Rastafarianism (especially popular in Jamaica) has segments with various shades of religious ideas. • In 1960’s, the Jamaican musician started to have this specific beliefs and helped spread out this type of religion. • He was baptised by the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Kingston Jamaica, Nov 4, 1980

  8. Death • In July of 1977 he discovered that he had a type of Malignant Melanoma, or cancer. • The final concert of Bob Marley’s Career was on September 1980 • He died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, the morning of May 11th 1981 at the young age of 26.
