The Platelet Project aims to innovate platelet analysis by utilizing microfluidics and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to assess the activation grade of individual platelets. By employing a two-phase system, we enhance the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of our measurements. Additionally, hydrodynamic 3D focusing helps to maintain platelets away from channel walls, improving accuracy. We also explore laser ablation techniques to fabricate fluidic channels and conduct bulk EIS studies, including tests in an electroporation cuvette with aluminum electrodes.
