  1. Construction(and robots) Built by robots – digger, brick layer etc. Lnar Units Contractors Rye St Antony Cleaner Bot Cooking Bot BuilderBot Entertainment Bot 5 months 3 weeks (earth) – Digging - 1 week, Building - 5 months, Decor - 2 weeks Under ground/Lunar regolith super adobe bricks - lined with clay bricks Inside view

  2. Radiation Protection • Radiation Shelter • For extreme conditions • Underground • 1m thick walls of water • Emergency supplies • Location: North Pole • - Area of low radiation • Lunar Exploration Neutron Detector • Windows • - Reflect light with mirrors into the rooms • Building Materials • Lunar regolith roof absorbs radiation • Underground. • 1 inch of lead surrounding outer walls • ceiling and floor

  3. Operations Excess gases are removed with zeolite and charcoal filters To create oxygen, water is electrolysed and excess hydrogen is disposed Solar panels on the roof of the house provide power Food is grown using aeroponics Shutters control the length of day and night in the settlement.

  4. The Effects Of Gravity: • On Earth, we must constantly use certain muscles to support ourselves against the force of gravity. These muscles, commonly called antigravity muscles. • Less gravity could lead to muscle wastage!!!! So half an hour exercise is required each day. • To counteract the affect of almost weightlessness, you are advised to have some of the following: • Fake eye lashes • Moustache covered with iron fillings (men) • have iron fillings stuck in your eyebrows • have Iron fillings in your teeth. Each resident will be required to have their own set of moon boots and Iron lined clothes. • The toilet system is the same as that on the international space station. • To use these toilets in low gravity areas, you must;fasten yourself to the seat andsuction is provided to carry away the waste.

  5. Overall costs COST OF CONSTRUCTION COST OF RADIATION PROTECTION • The average cost to launch a Space Shuttle is about £282.15 million per mission – to get there with materials • Lunar regolith – free moon soil • Bricks to line underground and walls – £72 • Mining – free robots • Robots - £40,000 each (based on forklift truck)1 needed • Total = 40,000 + 72 + 282,150,000 = £282,190,072 Per 1 house • Lead lining £15,500.95 • Water 0.17p per litre = 122000 = £207.40 • £540 for glass • Total for radiation = £16,248.35 COST OF HOUSEHOLD COMFORTS • Toilet system £5,000 to install/make • Water 0.17p per litre, average person uses 466 litres per day = £0.79 per person per day • Total cost of clothing = iron: 31p for 1kg, 100 kg per person = £31. (as a starting price): TOTAL COST = £282,211,354.50
