Stem List #1 • Sentences • The Civil War antedates the Korean War by decades. • The anti-aircraft fire shot down the enemy planes. • The two nations have a bilateral agreement. • The circumspect spy is difficult to catch. • The two together are an interesting combination. • Respond to the following with a partner. • Does a father’s birthday antedate his son’s? • Does an anticlimax enhance a play’s conclusion? • Can the president make a bilateral decision by himself? • Does a drill sergeant encourage troops to circumvent rules? • If nav means ship, explain the origins of the word circumnavigate?
