Sugar is formed in our body primarily with the help of the food we eat and the way that it is processed in our body. Our metabolism has a crucial role in the way that we digest our food and the nutrients that we absorb from it. Green tea is rich in antioxidants that help boost the metabolism. ● Appetite suppressant Green tea is also known to have properties that act as appetite suppressants. What this essentially does is make one less hungry. This is due to the antioxidant and plant properties of the tea. It is known to stave hunger and suppress appetite - therefore people eat less. Having a diet that is less than 1200 calories per day is good for people prone to diabetes. 5-7 cups of unsweetened green tea with a slice of lemon is recommended to yield the best results.

Insulin resistance happens when muscles cannot absorb natural sugar from the blood and therefore the body produces more sugar which in turn leads to increased blood sugar levels over a period of time. The nutrients found in green tea help curb insulin resistance, making it a magic elixir for people with type II diabetes. Green tea has various other benefits that lead to the improvement of overall health and immunity thus making the body more resistant to attacks.
