  2. Membership • To be eligible to play for Kent University in BUCS competitions your members must be: A Kent Union Sports member A fully registered Student at the University of Kent (must hold a valid registration card)

  3. Rules and Regulations • Please familiarise yourself with your sport specific BUCS rules and regulations. This is down to you, not Kent Union. www.bucs.org.uk BUCS Handbook is now found online

  4. Fixtures • You can view your fixtures on the BUCS website. • Please note that these dates may change due to facility clashes, requests from the opposition, adverse weather. • You will receive a weekly email outlining your fixtures for the forthcoming week. • Please discuss any queries in good time.

  5. The fixture cycle checklist: • Thursday/Friday: Fixture list (Times,Venueetc) will be sent out to all Captains. You need to – • Circulate team selection and inform teams about start times, pick up times etc • Inform us immediately with any problems • Advise Amy of any transport required

  6. Monday/Tuesday: • Check any changes to fixture details • Remind team of start times/transport pick up times etc • Collect any cash advances needed for officials/transport via blue cash request form.

  7. Wednesday: • Fill in transport passenger lists and hand in at the SAC • Collect First Aid Kits • Ensure team meet promptly at meeting points • Inspect pitch/necessary equipment (Home and Away) • Meet and Greet opposition • Meet and Greet Officials – Pay them BEFORE the fixture • Fill in playing under protest form if applicable

  9. Playing under Protest form ALWAYS take a playing under protest form with you to Away fixtures (available from the BUCS website or the SAC). If you are unhappy with pitch conditions/officials/opposition etc complete a playing under protest form The form should be completed by the captain and co-signed by the opposition’s captain (who cannot refuse to sign) Filling out one of these forms gives you the right to appeal – you won’t necessarily win the appeal If you think the situation makes playing the fixture too dangerous DO NOT PLAY, call Caroline or Amy asap

  10. Walkovers • If you cannot get a team together for a particular fixture we will try to rearrange. • If this is not possible, we will have to award the opposition a walkover • If the opposition would like to rearrange a fixture 48 hrs before then we are obliged to do so. • If we award another team a walkover, you cannot be promoted that year!
