Understand and fix problems, set Vcal at scan initialization, improved electron-to-DAC functions for comparison with TurbDAQ. Most scans yield reasonable results now with channel configuration capability.

Timewalk Scans • Basic configuration • One level 1 trigger • Loop over strobe delay 0-63 on RCE and • Vcal 70 -1000 on host (steered by STcontrol) • VCAL is 10 bit value (0-1023) • Misrepresented as char/octet in PixelModuleConfig.idl • fixed to unsigned long (32bit) Scan Status 06/12/10 M. Scan Setup • Tested with module M511958 with HV connected • one FEC broken • threshold tuned to 3200 electrons with TurboDAQ • ToT tuned to 30 cycles at 20000 electrons • Framework with STcontrol now in place • probably still some more bug • would be good to check the result with the scan experts Scan Status 06/12/10 M. CORBA Problems • Histograms are published to histogram server • takes several minutes if all histograms are sent • rate in the order of ten per second • 101 bins x (3x ToT + 3 BCID + OCC) = 707 histograms • Alternative (faster) method: download from RCE • CORBA crashes (timeout?) when more then a certain amount (bins>50) of histograms present • For now workaround in STcontrol • download one-bye-one • reasonably fast Scan Status 06/12/10 M.
