This science fair project by Jacob Haberman investigates whether males or females are better at distinguishing between Sierra Mist and Sprite. The hypothesis suggested that females would have a superior ability to differentiate between the two clear sodas. In the experiment, participants were shown clear cups containing either Sierra Mist or Sprite for 20 seconds, after which they made their guesses about the contents. The results showed that males were more accurate in identifying the sodas, contradicting the initial hypothesis.

Science Fair Project By Jacob Haberman
Problem • Which gender is better at looking at Sierra Mist and Sprite and telling the difference?
Hypothesis • I predict females will be able to tell the difference better than males.
Materials • People • clear cups • Sierra Mist • Sprite
Procedure • Step 1: I will pour Sprite in one cup and Sierra Mist in the other. • Step 2: I will have them look at the cups for 20 seconds. • Step 3: they will tell me which one they think is Sprite and Sierra Mist • Step 4: I tally the results.
Conclusion • My hypothesis was incorrect. Males were able to tell the difference better than females.
