  3. - Investigate the role of synoptic versus small-scale kinematic and thermodynamic effects control precipitation accumulation, and are, therefore, important to better forecast the evolution of snowfall 13-14 April 2011

  4. 13-14 April 2011 • low-level convergence (terrain-induced, small-scale turbulence), • diabaticcooling effects, and • local temperature disturbances (surface cold-pool, mid-level warm noses)

  5. - Role of liquid water content/degree of riming during seeding and non-seeding conditions- Study role of ice nuclei (IN) and cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) on precipitation distribution and amount - Study low-level riming process and enhancement of precipitation efficiency (seeder-feeder mechanism, BL turbulence, mesoscale wind)
