    2. Assessing Math Concepts Program • Developed by Kathy Richardson, one of America’s leading elementary math educators. • K-2 formative assessment. Continuum of 9 assessments. • A cohesive look at the development of children’s understanding of core math concepts. • It is not enough to know if the child can get right answers. Richardson quotes – Children can create “illusions of learning”. • Assessments identify the working level that is appropriate for each child in the class. • Assessments links to specific curriculum in the Developing Number Concepts series. Provides the what next piece for teachers.
