LATE 1917 1918 25th October 1917– BOLSHEVIK REVOLUTION 10th January 1918– The Cossacks declare their independence and form the Republic of the Don. 19thJanuary 1918– The Bolshevik government sends troops to disperse the Constituent Assembly. 22nd January 1918– The Ukrainians declare their independence from Russia. 16th February 1918– TheLithuanians declare their independence from Russia. 3rd March 1918– TREATY OF BREST-LITOVSK 12thMarch 1918– The Bolsheviks move their capital from Petrograd to Moscow for safety reasons. 22ndApril 1918– The Transcaucasians declare their independence from Russia and form the Transcaucasian Republic. 26th May 1918– The Transcaucasian Republic splits into three separate states. Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan declare their individual independence from Russia. 16th July 1918– IMPERIAL FAMILY EXECUTED 2nd September 1918– The Bolshevikgovernment proclaims a campaign of Red Terror. 5thSeptember 1918–Battle of Kazan(11,000 Reds fight 6,000 Whites and Czechs. Battle ends on the 10th September with a victory for the Reds) 11thNovember 1918– TREATY OF VERSAILLES 18thNovember 1918–Kolchak Coup.Lativa also declares independence.

Russia recognizes Lithuania'sindependence. 11th August 1920– Treaty of Riga. Russia recognizes Latvia's independence. 14th August 1920–Battle of Warsaw - part of the Russo-Polish War. It will last until August 16, 1920. The Red Army puts Warsaw under siege. Red Army is defeated. 14th October 1920–Treaty of Tartu (another one). Russia recognizes Finland's independence. 7th-15th November 1920– Battle of Perekop.Red Army defeats the White Army for good – Reds win the Civil War. BOLSHEVIK VICTORY: CONSOLIDATION OF POWER
