English 10 - 2/19/19 • At the trial, in chapter 18, why does Atticus begin by painting a picture of the Ewell’s home life? • Why do clowns wear loud socks? • Lip flap – when a person on television can be seen talking but not heard. Goals – Discuss last week, handouts, anything interesting from the book. Watch court scene from the movie? Homework – Read and annotate chapter 20 for tomorrow. Write a journal entry. Don’t forget to study for vocab. 19.

Sometimes called “yata-yata-yata.” Goals – Complete watching the trial scene. Analyze Atticus’ closing argument. Check dailies. Homework – Read and annotate chapter 21, 22 for tomorrow. Write a journal entry. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary 19.

Goals – Discuss lynching vs. justice. Look at imagery. Homework – Read and annotate chapter 23. Write a journal entry. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary 19.

Goals – Successfully complete Vocabulary 19. Homework – Read and annotate chapter 24,25,26. Write a journal entry for each. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary 20.

Those who show approval for a fee or self-interest. Goals – Discuss vocabulary, things learned, cool writing/imagery in the book thus far. Homework – Read and annotate chapter 10. Find and write quotes that show evidence of conflict. Make sure to put the page number.
