  4. Polar Bears Description Polar bears are large mammals. They weigh 700 to1,600 pounds (or 317 to 725 Kg.) Polar bears have big paws and white fur. They live in the arctic. Polar bears eat seals, fish and walruses. They are starving because they can’t hunt. Montgomery County Public Schools Grade 3 Integrated Curriculum 2011

  5. The Ice is Melting, oh no ! Carbon dioxide is melting the ice. People are cutting trees and carbon dioxide comes out. The climate keeps getting warmer and warmer. Montgomery County Public Schools Grade 3 Integrated Curriculum 2011

  6. Don’t Melt the Ice Talk to the government about cutting down the forests. You can adopt by buying an adoption kit. You get a certificate, a photo and a stuffed bear. You can make a donation every month. Montgomery County Public Schools Grade 3 Integrated Curriculum 2011
