  3. Select “internet explorer”

  4. Enter the URL: https://icams.usda.gov/

  5. Read the Warning and Click on “I agree to the above”

  6. Enter your EmpowHR (ICAMS) User ID and Password and click on “EmpowHR Sign In”.

  7. Click on “worklist”.

  8. Click on the blue link for the applicable 5 tier performance appraisal to view/review.

  9. Verify that a check mark has been entered in ALL THREE BLOCKS! NOTE: Each checkmark represents an electronic signature. The review Is not complete until the appraisal has been signed by all three: Employee, supervisor, and reviewer.

  10. Click on the “elements and standards” tab for a final review of the status of ratings.

  11. Click on “view all” to view the ratings for all the elements.

  12. Click on the “summary rating” tab after reviewing the ratings for all the elements.

  13. If the supervisor has additional comments to make after reviewing, click on the “add more comments” button. NOTE: There can be as many back and forth comments between supervisor and employee as necessary/desired.

  14. If you add additional comments at this point, Don’t forget to click on “SAVE”! If no additional entries are Made, you don’t need to click on save.

  15. To print a hard copy document, click on the “create printable form”. NOTE: Hard copies should only be printed when needed.

  16. Click on “view document”

  17. To print, click on the “printer icon” , select printer, and click “OK”. The plan should show 3 electronic signatures and dates of certification: Employee, Supervisor, and Reviewer.

  18. When all actions have been completed, click on “worklist” The item should clear from the worklist.

  19. To exit EmpowHR after actions are complete, Click on “signout”. The action should no longer show on your worklist.
