Transferability • ITE 170 used to transfer as IT213 at GMU but does not currently • NVCC students may test out of IT213 by taking an exam – this does not provide credit, but satisfies the GMU requirement to take IT213 – test procedures are described at https://ait.gmu.edu/students/current-students/course-credit-waiver-options/#test-out • Hopefully ITE170 provides good preparation for this test

  3. Application to Other Courses • While not a prerequisite, IT 213 is very helpful for IT207 – Applied IT Programming • IT 213 is a prerequisite for • IT 331 – Web I: Web Development • IT 332- Web Site Administration • IT 335 – Web Dev Content Management Systems • IT 413 – Digital Media Editing • IT 481 - Concepts of Multimedia Processing and Transmission
